Matthew 16:24-25
We can't help but be amazed at the bravery and selflessness of our Lord Jesus. He gave up his life as a selfless act against sin and shame. Do you see the similarities between Jesus and Samson? Samson's sacrifice saved Israel from the Philistines, and Jesus' sacrifice saved us from sin and death. The lives of Jesus and Samson teach us an important lesson about sacrifice. Jesus said that to be his disciple, you must pick up your cross and follow Him. He also said that to be first in the Kingdom, you must be a servant of all. But how do we share in that greatness? How do we show greatness in our lives? Jesus made it clear: put aside your selfish ambitions and preferences and do something selfless for someone else. By doing this, you'll follow God's heart.
